What Are Your True Colors and What Your Clothing Color Says About You

Lee did an interview with Shine from Yahoo called “What are your true colors” which applied the concept of More Alive With Color to makeup palettes. There was quite a stir among the community of readers that followed. The responses were all over the board. I like hearing what everyone has to say and think it is interesting to learn about all of the ideas and thoughts that people put into wearing color.

It does seem that today there are a lot of people who don’t really know or identify with the concept of personal colors.

How many of you out there are familiar with personal colors? Is the system you are familiar with rigid in the “rules” of what colors you should wear? How many of you use More Alive With Color as a guide to wearing colors?

Are you Sunrise, Sunlight or Sunset?

I would love to hear what thoughts you are putting into the daily color choices you make.

For those of you who are interested in the psychology of color Women’s Health Magazine has great article in their January issue. Pay special attention to what is said about green.

Thank you so much, I will have a look at this article.
I have my hair coloured since many years ago. Then should I consider which was my color before dying it or the color I wear now? Because I don’t feel like looking at my current hair becoming more and more gary everyday!

We say here, two out of three. Use your eyes and skin as your guide. If your hair is dyed close to the natural color that can still work in most cases.

I loved the post by Women’s Health Magazine, very instructive! And I love your sets of colors, though I don’t know your system well. I love both, Sunrise and Sunlight Colors. I miss the Sunset ones. How am I supposed to determine which are mine colors? Your book is in my wish list!
    Happy New Year 2011!!!

The best way to determine your colors is to look at your hair, skin and eyes, if you have not had a consultation. One on one is a great way to learn about your personal colors and is not something that can be done sight unseen. The “What are your true colors?” article gives a break down of the sunset, sunrise and sunlight palettes. http://www.morealivewithcolor.com/ can give even further explanation. Let me know if this helps or if you still have questions.
